Hello!
I am Irena, an embroidery designer from Latvia. My passion for needlework began in childhood, inspired by my grandmother, who sewed and knitted. This love for creativity grew into a lifelong pursuit of embroidery art.
At 15, I began studying at the Art School of Applied Arts in Riga, followed by studies at the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Latvia. Later, I honed my craft at École Lesage in Paris, the premier school for Haute Couture embroidery. This experience shaped my style and dedication to excellence.
Over the years, I have created unique embroidered collections, ranging from clothes and handbags to jewelry, and have participated in international exhibitions and contests. My works have been worn globally.
Since 2015, I’ve taught hand embroidery, shared my expertise, and inspired students worldwide. My mission is to preserve the timeless art of embroidery while empowering others to explore their creativity.

This May (2025), quite unexpectedly, I created my very first silver ring. It was the first step that captivated me so much that I am now “in it up to my ears” — and I have no plans to stop.
The whole summer was spent gathering tools, setting up a new workspace, and learning. I watched countless videos searching for my true mentor — and I found them. The learning continues, my hands are slowly becoming accustomed to working with metal, and my heart still belongs to embroidery.
For now, I have given these works a temporary brand name — 110525 — the date my first ring was created. I transformed it visually to include my initials as an embroiderer, turning it into 1IG0525 — a kind of code or cipher that I hope will open the door to a new chapter in my creative journey.
I’m open to interesting collaborations and always excited to connect with fellow creatives and brands. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your ideas or projects!
